The Children’s Studio asked a simple but important question before it opened:
“When looking for a preschool what would be a parent’s top priorities?”
 

The question was considered carefully and answered by many in the community. First and foremost, the majority of parents polled wanted a preschool in Montclair NJ that would provide a living and learning environment where their children would be loved, safe, happy, and recognized as unique individuals. This quaternity became the essential foundation of the Children’s Studio, Preschool in Montclair, New Jersey. There were also many other qualities that went into the creation of the program and over the years there have been additions and subtractions but the core remains today, unchanged, and serves as the glue that holds the entire program together. Simply stated, our mission is to provide secure, loving, and enriching experiences for children, so that they will flourish through preschool in Montclair NJ.

 

The Children’s Studio is divided into three sections: a nursery group, a preschool group, and a pre-kindergarten group. The children in each group form a community of children and all members truly enjoy the benefit of the visual contact they have with one another in our open classroom setting. This is especially true for siblings. Each group, however, functions independently as a cohesive unit thriving on living and learning experiences that match their groups’ developmental level. A supportive environment combined with our skill-based and project-based curriculum allows for the true potential in each child to come into flower at our preschool in Montclair NJ.
