"It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge." Albert Einstein
Almost three decades ago, the Children’s Studio first opened its doors with an enrollment of one student. Over the years it has thrived, becoming one of the most respected preschools in the town of Montclair. The school is located in the Quaker Meeting House at 289 Park Street in Upper Montclair on the corner of Park Street and Gordonhurst Avenue. It is non-funded, non-denominational, and multicultural. The Children’s Studio is known for its emphasis on a creative approach to living and learning, true respect for individual differences, encouraging the development of the unique learning style of each child, and maintaining an excellent teacher-to-student ratio in all age groups.

I would give The Children's Studio my strongest of recommendations. For four years, my family relied on Dr. Jane Carr and the wonderful teachers of TCS without fail, and we could not have asked for a higher quality environment for our kids. To this day, I remain grateful that we found a school where we knew, without a doubt, that our kids were safe, professionally supervised, and given individual attention to grow in a holistic and appropriately structured setting.
Dr. Carr and the staff of The Children's Studio gave us a great gift in our years there, namely peace of mind that our children were happy, engaged, and always learning.
